Signal Hill is older than most of the communities we work in, and a lot of these homes are now on their second furnace rather than their first.
Signal Hill and the ridge around it date largely from the late 1980s and 1990s. Homes that age are usually onto their second furnace, and the equipment is only half the story. The ductwork has often never been touched since the house was built, and undersized or poorly transitioned runs are a common reason one room never gets warm no matter what furnace is installed.
Because sheet metal and ductwork are a major part of what we do, we look at the distribution as well as the appliance. Sometimes the answer to a cold bedroom is not a bigger furnace, it is fixing what carries the heat there. Hillside lots with multiple levels make that even more true.
"Dan is a very knowledgeable guy to everything that is HVAC related, takes the time to explain all the work that has to be done and why. He also is a guy that is finding solutions in order to get the job done in a nice and clean way."
"No surprise fees, gets the job done and makes sure it is done right before leaving. Does not rush the job for a quick buck! Will definitely be using them again!"

Usually the ductwork rather than the furnace. Undersized runs, poor transitions, leaking joints or a layout that starves the far end of the system will leave one room short regardless of the equipment. We diagnose the distribution, not just the appliance.
Often, yes. If the ducts cannot carry what the furnace produces, a new furnace will not solve the comfort problem you actually have. We assess both together and tell you where the money is best spent. Duct upgrades are often cheaper than oversizing the equipment to compensate.
Usually. If the home has forced air heating, cooling can generally be tied into the existing system. We check that the ductwork and electrical service can support it before quoting, because older systems sometimes need work first. Older ductwork sometimes needs upgrading to carry the additional airflow.
Yes. Caloris provides a two year labour warranty on all of our work. Manufacturer warranties on the equipment itself are separate and vary by brand and model, and we will explain what applies to your unit before you commit to anything.

Tell us what is going on and we will get back to you with a clear picture of what the work involves and what it costs. No pressure, and no surprise line items at the end.
